A Dream website for your books? I need your help.

Hi Everyone,

As posted in the title "A Dream website for your books?", I would like to ask, If you were to have a website that really showcased your books, what would you want it to include?

The reason I ask is, I just finished a website for/with Author John Saint John to promote his book Tunnel of Light, and thoroughly enjoyed creating it for him.

I based the overall navigation and functionality after a series of websites that I have been developing for the audio (music) and visual arts. My background is in the visual arts, and with my years of experience creating high quality visual solutions for the internet, I thought I would help other creative people better promote themselves online.

What I am trying to do with the authors websites, is create a template that will give authors a solution for a clean, professional, high quality website where people will enjoy sampling their latest book(s), but at a really reasonable price to create. My thoughts are $500.00 for the starter version, with the options to fully customize each individual website.

So far I have the following section titles, navigation and functionality for the starter version:
• Introduction / Welcome page.
• Online Book (With page turning effects)
• An area on how to buy your book, including store links etc..
• Authors Bio area.
• Contact information page (including links to your personal Websites/Blogs etc. - if needed).
• Press Area (With password if needed).
• A Music Player that has a customizable play list to compliment your books.

Titles for each of the areas within the Website:
• Welcome
• Book Samples (With page turning effects)
• How to Buy the Book
• Authors Bio
• Contact the Author
(The music player can be removed if you do not require audio.)

And as an option, we can host each of these promotional book websites for free if you do not have a Domain Name (URL) or hosting company.

I also like the idea of including for free a 3D version of each book
(example found on–TunnelofLight.info).

And as metioned above I would like to be able to offer this for only $500.00. (John's book promotion website is an example of what the above starter website will feel like.)

With all of that said, I would like to say I enjoyed creating the website for John and would love to help other Authors and Publishers with there next promotional project.
